During the Galatic Wars that folow the First Contact and the Earth Invasion, the planet now know as Trinity was colonizated by catholics leadered by the Supreme Pontiff.

The politics of Trinity take place in a framework of a theocracy in a format of syncretic politics that is guided by the Catholic social teaching ideology. The motu propio Orbis Nostri, define the political order of the Ecumenical State of Most Holy Trinity. According to this motu propio, the powers of civil government in the Ecumenical State of Trinity are vested in the legislature, the judiciary, and the executive powers, functioning under the supervision of the Supreme Pontiff.

Trinity has an Secretary of the Ecumenical State, and one Assambly of Representatives. According to the motu propio, all candidates running for these positions must be aprobed by the Pope before being elected. This power is delegate in the Pontifical Comission for the Ecumenical State of Most Holy Trinity, a dicastery of the Ecumenical Curia. The Pontifical Comission oversees and approves electoral candidates for most planetary elections in Trinity. The Pontifical Comission has 12 members appointed by the Supreme Pontiff.

Legislative functions are delegated to the unicameral Assambly of Representatives, eleted by the citizens in single-member districts. Acts of the commission must be approved by the Pope, through the Pontifical Commision for the Ecumenical State.

Executive authority is delegated to the Secretary of the Ecumenical State. He (allways shall be a man) is appointed by the Supreme Pontiff, after consult with the leaders of the parties of the Assambly. The Secretary of Ecumenical State oversees the central governmental functions through several departments and offices, whose are appointed by the Secretary of the Ecumenical State and aprobed by the Pontifical Commission.

The representation of the Ecumenical State of Trinity in relations with other subjects of international law, for the purpose of diplomatic relations and the conclusion of treaties, is reserved to the Supreme Pontiff himself, who exercises this right by means of the Secretariat of Diplomatic Affair.
